Revaluation

Township of Fairfield

The Township of Fairfield has been ordered by the Essex County Board of Taxation and the New Jersey Division of Taxation to perform a revaluation program to be implemented for tax year 2020. The revaluation will ensure uniform and equitable assessments throughout the municipality and account for the recent changes in the real estate market. The Township has entered into a contract with Appraisal Systems, Inc. to conduct the revaluation program.

Value letters are being mailed beginning Wednesday, December 4, 2019. Please refer to the information in your letter to arrange a one-on-one meeting with a representative to discuss the proposed 2020 assessment.

Meetings are being held at a location within the Township. If you elect to schedule a meeting, the time and place of your meeting will be confirmed at the time of your call.
